Rescued on 8 October 2021, Tia appeared to have a bad fracture of her leg.  She was the victim of a hit and run.

Tia's Story

Run over and abandoned to die, Tia was rescued on 8 October 2021.  You can't see it clearly here but a bone is completely broken and is poking through her skin.

X-rays showed that she had a fracture in her vertebrae but no other fractures.  Doc Pierre performed surgery to close the wound in her leg and with rest for around a month or two, the fracture healed.

Tia's wounds

Tia's xray

She's a quiet dog, good on walks, and likes to sit outside the kitchen waiting for mealtimes.  She'd make an ideal gentle house companion.
