On 26 May 2021, Gyoza and her sisters Siomai and Wonton were abandoned outside the Sanctuary when they were about 4 months old. The Distemper Outbreak was just becoming apparent, and although Wonton and Siomai survived, little Gyoza was just too small.

She passed away from a respiratory infection that should couldn't fight off in her weakened state.  Such a tragedy for a tiny soul not given a proper chance to live a full life.
