TIN TIN

Tin Tin

Tin Tin

Tin Tin was not "rescued" in the accepted way - she was one of a litter of four pups born to a true rescue, Love.

She is a gentle, loving character, fond of cuddles and is inseparable from her surviving brother, Delfin, although they look nothing alike!

Tin Tin's Story

Tin Tin's mother, Love, was rescued in February 2019 by a Spanish tourist called Martika from Siquijor. She was a puppy at the time – around 2- 3 months we think  - and was full of mange and would not have lasted much longer.  Just as Martika left, a lady called Marifel stepped up to foster Love until she was less contagious with Mange and the Sanctuary could accept her.

Unfortunately, while in foster care, Love got pregnant and gave birth to four puppies in May 2019 – Delfin, Tin Tin, Jorie and Inin.
We brought them to the Sanctuary when they were around four weeks old.

Delfin

Delfin TinTin and Jorin

These were the first puppies we had at the Sanctuary and the caretakers fell in love with them and didn’t want them adopted so we never advertised them for adoption.

Sadly, Inin died aged 4 months from a genetic problem, and Jorin was put to sleep as she was unable to recover from an outbreak of Distemper at the Sanctuary in October 2019.  Tin Tin was outside the whole time – looking directly at us as we put her to sleep. She knew what was happening. It was so so sad to see her.

Delfin's mother, Love

Love got adopted by Stella our adoption manager in December 2019.
Here she is now – such a beauty.

We would never separate Delfin and Tin Tin as they are still very close. We hope a suitable adopting family can be found to take both of them - they are the undisputed king and queen of DAS!

Tin Tin is the alpha female at the shelter, given that she was one of the first residents. She puts other dogs in their place at times and can be a bit of a bully at times – but that’s what Alphas do!

Tin Tin

She loves puppies! She is really the sweetest dog – she loves people also and loves it when people visit.
She is really healthy and has not got any of the skin issues or illnesses that the other dogs tend to get.

Jonathan’s TribeAs well as great physical and mental exercise (for the walkers too!), taking dogs out on the lead outside the Sanctuary gets our rescues better prepared for that new life when they get adopted. Some dogs don’t need leads, and walk with us wherever we go. This is Jonathan’s tribe – every Wednesday he Click to see post….
