Our New Shelter Campaign
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we now own a beautiful 2.8-hectare property in Zamboanguita, giving us the foundation to expand and transform animal welfare in our community. Now, we need your help to take the next critical step: constructing a multipurpose building so we can move in as soon as possible.
This building will include a clinic, office, kitchen, and caretaker’s space, providing the essentials to begin operations on the new property. While we won’t utilize all of the land right away, this first phase will give us the space we desperately need to improve the well-being of our 200 dogs and rescue more animals.
We need to raise $65,000 to construct the multipurpose building. This building is crucial to our ability to move in and start saving more lives. Construction will be done in phases so we can relocate as quickly as possible while continuing to work toward future development.
Why We Need A New Sanctuary
At Dumaguete Animal Sanctuary, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome hundreds of dogs and cats every year, but our current rented sanctuary is bursting at the seams. We are heartbroken to turn away animals in desperate need every day due to a lack of space. Being critically overcrowded also brings its own challenges in controlling infectious diseases and providing care to special-needs animals.
We found the perfect 2.8-hectare (7-acre) property in Zamboanguita, near our current location, where we can not only expand, but also set up new initiatives to transform animal welfare in our community. With your help, we can provide a safe, permanent home for our even more rescues, giving them the space they need to thrive.
