Mouse
Mouse was the victim of a hit-and-run on 23 September 2024. He was very thin and weak, and we couldn't bare the thought of him dying alone on the street, so rushed to pick him up. On initial testing, Mouse was negative for all tick borne diseases which was unsual given his stray status, but he had a faint line on the parvo tests. We believe it was likely parvo combined with severe emaciation and worm infestation that was just too much for his little body to take.
Lloyd, our night vet assistant, noticed that Mouse was having difficult breathing. He had vomited a few times and was pooping blood. Lloyd administered first aid and tried to revive him, but he didn't make it. At least he had 36 hours with us and knew safety comfort and love.
