Rescued from the streets by local residents in April 2022, unfortunately George didn't settle in his new surroundings, and we stepped in to treat him and try to find him a home.

George's Story
George was a street dog who was befriended by local residents in Dumaguete in April 2022. He had some skin issues, and was weak and malnourished, and they hoped he could regain his health under their care.
George when rescued
Unfortunately, his years on the streets left him very protective of his new "parents", and he didn't mix well with their existing dogs. We were asked if we could help, and in May 2022 we took him in. He had large bare patches of skin due to a bad case of Mange, so we began treatment, and he has slowly regained his honey-coloured coat.

After a while be adjusted to mixing well with the many other dogs at the Sanctuary, so we hope that a new home will be found for him. He is quite a gentle soul, and loves pats and cuddles.
