Stella

One of two dogs rescued with the help of sponsorships and donations, Stella was being fed by Lito, but had a case of TVT - Transmissable Venereal Tumour - which is treatable, but expensive.  Originally part of a larger pack, the other strays have been taken away by the City for destruction, or poisoned.

Stella's Story

Part of a larger group of strays at Silliman Beach being fed by local Lito, only Stella and heavily-pregnant Katrina were still there when we had raised enough funds to take them in.  The remaining pack was either poisoned or rounded up by the City for destruction.

Stella

She had TVT - Transmissible Venereal Tumour - which is common in street dogs.  It's not the worst we've seen, but needed 4 - 6 treatments at P3,000 each.

Despite all this, she is the happiest of dogs, friendly towards everyone, no doubt from the care given by Lito in the community.  So many strays may continue to live comfortable, safe lives if they are cared for collectively in a neighborhood, but this is a rare occurrence indeed.
