Miguel

In February 2024, we received a report of a dog with tumors caused by TVT on his nose.  If caught in time, it is 100% treatable, so we wasted no time rescuing him and commencing treatment. With treatment his tumours completely disappeared, and he's now fully recovered.

Miguel's Story

On 13 February 2023, we responded to a call from a reporter in Amlan about a dog that had been reported to us some weeks before, but kept disappearing.

The dog was quite far from Dumaguete so we asked the reporter to follow the dog, which he did, and we managed to finally get him.

Miguel when rescued

He had a severe case of TVT cancer, but we have treated similar cases successfully with chemotherapy. We called him Miguel.  In a few short days the tumours began to reduced, and by the end of his treatment, it was like they'd never been there.  We also fed him up, vaccinated and spayed him, ready to begin the search for a new home.

Here are the heroes who found our buttercup. Neither would accept the reward, despite the fact that 10,000 pesos is a LOT of money here.
