WARNING - ANDREW'S HEAD WOUNDS WERE SEVERE, SO PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR SOME DISTURBING IMAGES IF YOU SCROLL FURTHER.

Andrew was rescued from the street in August 2020.

He was close to death, with an infected head wound locals came from another dog attack.

We think he was born in 2016.

Andrew's Story

Andrew was rescued from the street in August 2020. Locals in the area said he had a fight with another dog.

Andrew before surgery

Slowly the wound on his head got worse and became infected with maggots. A lot of his scalp had been eaten away.

Andrew after surgery

With some extensive surgery, our Vets managed to remove all the dead tissue, and rebuild the skin around his ear.

Andrew was in critical condition for a few days – he hardly moved and wouldn’t eat. But as the antibiotics took effect, he slowly started coming back to life.

Here's a video clip of him post-surgery with his favourite pink dog bowl.

He is a lovely dog, very placid and gentle - he is sociable and enjoys human company of you sit with him and stroke him.

He's a gentle old soul now, and loves going for walks.  It seems like he doesn't see to well now, but he sees his donner bowl well enough!  He would suit a quiet environment.
