Mabel
Rescued in a very poor condition, Mabel was the oldest of three dogs rescued in June 2022. Along with the Merlin and Milly, Mabel may well have been used to breed, as they all appear to be a popular small dog breed known as a Maltese. They are all now released from their uncertain futures and have the opportunity to fulfil their lives with a loving family.

Mabel's Story
Rescued on 4 June 2022, Mabel was one of three seemingly "pedigree" dogs rescued from squalid caged conditions. Together with Merlin and Milly, Mabel had very bad mange and was suffering from malnutrition. It's likely she was kept for breeding purposes only, and when she got sick, was cast aside as being unlikely to provide more healthy puppies.

These poor souls were really protective of each other, and when they arrived they had such a haunted look in their eyes. Mabel took the longest to begin to trust people again, and guarded the other two very closely. They are inseparable.

We have every confidence that Mabel will recover her coat and general heath, and will no longer be a slave to a puppy farm. She deserves another shot at a comfortable and carefree life with a new family.
