LARRY

Larry

Larry was being fed by DAS supporters, but was being bullied off the food by the other dogs.  He was getting weaker, so we collected him in December 2022 and bought him to the Sanctuary.  With care, he will gain weight and recover his coat, and will be a handsome little addition to any loving family.

Larry's Story

DAS supporters Mae and Steve were feeding and treating a local pack of strays for Mange, and little Larry was being intimidated by the larger dogs, and was unable to feed.  He was always being chased away by the other dogs.  We called him Larry because he looked like a lamb!

Larry being treated

Larry being treated

He was covered in scabs from the Mange, and blood tests showed he had Pancreatitis.  He began to respond to his treatment, and is a very placid little boy, despite all he's been through.

Incredibly, despite his looks, he can't be more than four months old as his testicles have not yet descended.  He looks to be in the same shape at a dog near the end of their days. Let's hope he continues to make progress and get to the stage where he can restart his life in hope and health.

Larry Adopted!

Larry

Larry was adopted by our lovely long-term supporters Steve and Mae, who first reported him to us.  After being treated for Pancreatitis, Mange, and severe malnutrition, they decided to take him in to their sizeable rescue pack of 15 dogs!  We couldn't be happier for little Larry, who now never needs to worry about a warm, dry place to sleep and plenty of food!  Thanks Steve and Mae!

You can read all about Larry on his profile page here.
